I planned my own wedding and it ruined me in the best way.

I got engaged, went looking for suppliers who understood what I wanted, and found almost nobody. Everything was soft focus and beige. Every website used the word “timeless” at least four times. I wanted rock music and tattoos and something that actually looked like us.

So I built it myself. And somewhere between the third spreadsheet and the last song of the night, I realised I’d found the thing I wanted to do forever.
